The term webinar comes from “Web” – as in, the internet, and “Seminar” – as in, a conference or other meeting for discussion or training.
Examples of webinars are presentations, discussions, demonstrations, or even tutorials.
Webinar attendees log on a special event link at a specific time to meet and connect remotely. Webinars can be a great way to meet up online – especially when attendees do not live anywhere near one another. It is not uncommon to have attendees from places all around the world.
While attending online webinars and meetings, there are some standard rules of webinar etiquette to apply. Although the rules for webinar etiquette are similar to conduct for any meeting or presentation, they are also geared to accommodate the online media.
